Emily & Arturo’s COVID-19 Wedding in Melbourne

Couple's Backyard

This year Melbourne, Australia has experienced one of the world’s most strict Covid-19 lockdowns. Since March, the whole city had been living under intense restrictions – until last weekend when the government decided to show its citizens some leniency with slightly easing of restrictions.

Not letting a global pandemic get in their way, Emily and Arturo decided to go ahead with their wedding on their original date.

Friends and family tuned into the intimate nuptials held in the couple’s backyard via zoom!

There were genuine heartfelt words of love, joy and tears. Oh so many tears! I couldn’t hold back a tear or two myself. Knowing that the couple ached to share this moment with loved ones and not being permitted is absolutely heart breaking.

That being said, there will come a time in the not too distant future where the couple can celebrate with their nearest and dearest.

I hope you enjoy this glimpse in Emily and Arturo’s COVID-19 wedding.

PS- It was very challenging to photograph a wedding wearing a mask! My breathing kept fogging up the camera’s viewfinder.

Please note*

All attendees live at the residence except the celebrant and photographer.
