During my time at home, I was using some expensive candles labelled soy “natural” candles, thinking I was paying for quality natural candles but getting terrible migraines instead. So I began my research into candle ingredients and quickly discovered that some ‘natural’ candles contained toxins that have links to migraines and other additives that I couldn’t quite believe we were still being used.
I started looking for an alternative, 100% natural option to help with migraines, which led me to develop natural candles that have grown into our brand, Nourish the Soul. My Story
Nine years ago, I was involved in an accident that resulted in multiple surgeries and ongoing treatments with no relief. Instead, I had unbearable nerve pain and changes to the function and use of the left side of my body. Unfortunately, several months after this horrendous pain started, I was diagnosed with a serious nervous system disorder called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). As a result, I lost everything I had worked so hard to achieve. My career, independence, friendships and financial freedom.
Over time, my Chronic Pain Medical team started helping me with non-pharmaceutical, non-invasive options to help with my pain. The other options were more surgery and opioid addiction. Finally, I decided to take charge of my treatment and began researching natural therapies to fight chronic pain. As a result, over several years, I adopted several significant changes to improve my quality of life, reducing my pain levels and focused on surrounding myself with a natural healing environment and came of opioids completely.
As I began my healing journey and my energy shifted, I created 100% natural candles.
Our senses are such a powerful system, and aromatic therapy can significantly impact our emotional and mental state. For example, when I began crafting our 100% natural candles, I would find myself closing my eyes (while indoors), smelling the clean, fresh air bushwalking in the Blue Mountains, or picturing my childhood on the farm, in the garden or picking the juiciest of fruits on the family orchard.
I found a healthier way of living through this journey, significantly reduced pain, and found my purpose.

About the owners
Maylynn has been a dessert enthusiast and hyperactive baker since she was a child. She loves grand productions – full string orchestras, big hair, Busby Berkeley – so Pierre Hermé’s 20-page recipes instantly resonated with her. In addition, she loves the ridiculousness of making ten-hour treats that are devoured in seconds.
After years of learning the art from books and accumulating lots of thermometers, she studied professional patisserie in Paris and regularly visits there to conduct ‘dessert research’ (which she is now pretty confident will be tax-deductible).
Maylynn understands French best when spoken with an Italian accent. She has a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts.
Hugh is a former lawyer and investment banker. He speaks French, having been dragged kicking and screaming to live in the south of France when he was 16. Hugh has a Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Melbourne and a Master in International Relations from Yale.
He joined Maylynn to study the art of macarons in Paris in 2010. They are now married and have two little boys named Luther and Marcel.

We founded The Aisling Distillery in 2014 to specialise in Small Batch Premium Single Malt Whisky, Rum and more recently, Gin. The Aisling Distillery was born with the love of my Scottish Heritage as I was born in the mid-seventies in Griffith, NSW. Being raised in Griffith surrounded by an Italian community rich in culture and heritage. I knew that I was of Scottish ancestry. The problem with being of Scottish heritage being raised in Griffith was that I had no identity regarding my past. The Italians had nice bread, salami, wine, olives, anti-pasta and a European language.
I felt that I had nothing, but I needed to be in touch with something. I didn't know where I came from; I was just an Aussie boy growing up in a town full of people with rich cultures and stories dating back generations. So being of Scottish heritage, I thought it was my birthright that I produce something from my past.
As I have embarked on my journey into my heritage, I’ve realised the first descendants arrived in Benalla, VIC and settled in Tungamah, VIC. The land where they lived and worked from 1875-to 1920 was “BURNSIDE” Hill Plain Road. This farm is still today being worked by a local Griffith Lady that married a Tungamah Lad and now lives on “BURNSIDE” over the past few years; they’ve harvested “Planet” & “Hindmarsh” Barley.
Along with my journey, we travel into the fate of East meets West. Fifteen years ago, I met my now wife, Michelle, who has Dutch Heritage, and with that, we embarked on this journey together. We had a brief discussion about a Distillery, so Michelle sent me to Tasmania to meet Bill Lark. Well, that was a decision made, and here we are, a Scotsman and a Dutchwoman, two dreams that have come together and are producing amazing Spirits. It is an amazing journey, life-changing, and memories being made with our family.

Digital CMYK
This is our standard printing service; digital printing has a quick turnaround and is perfect for any of our designs with floral or watercolour on any light coloured stock.
Digital White
This specialty service is perfect for printing on darker colour stocks, and like digital, CMYK has a quick turnaround. So it’s a nice option for those making a statement with a bold stock option.
Envelope Printing
Envelopes can either be printed in white or CMYK. In addition, we can print to match your stationery with guests and return addresses in your chosen style.
Foil
Foiling is available in various colours, including traditional gold and silver; this process uses heat and pressure to press foil into your chosen design. It can be used on a wide range of dark and light stocks.
Letterpress
Letterpress is the process of an inked raised metal plate creating a deep impression. Only premium paper stock is used in this process, and while expensive, the results are stunning.
Die-cutting
This is simply cutting your invites into a shape; from arch to circle, there are plenty of options available. In addition, this process can be used in conjunction with any other printing method.
